On 24th, December, 2012, a guest, Professor Zeng Weibing came to our college afar from Louisville, the biggest city of Kentucky, USA. This was the second time he visited our college. This time, he was invited by vice president Ling Hong to have a talk about cooperative issues between our college and two American institutes (Jefferson Community and Technical College, University of Louisville).
As our college spares no efforts to push forward national model vocational college, international exchange and cooperation is also developing quickly, thus, teacher training and students’ real-life practice are badly in need of international cooperation with foreign countries’ vocational colleges. With the purpose of expanding channel of students’ overseas employment and study, deep cooperation with foreign countries’ vocational colleges in terms of teaching, internship, and real-life practice are of more emergency. After Vice president Ling Hong said that, both sides explored their concerned issues.
Professor Zeng Weibing introduced the advantages of Jefferson Community and Technical College, and University of Louisville. He recommended to our students the Sister city youth scholarship program founded by friendly city committee Louisville and students exchange program offered by Jefferson Community and Technical College. According to these programs, our selected students can study at Jefferson Community and Technical College either with a scholarship of $6000-$10000 or with tuition greatly reduced as exchange students.
After the talk, Ling Hong gave professor Zeng souvenir, and asked him to convey her best regards to the president of Jefferson Community and Technical College.
